Sensory Happy Hair Brush - Teal Reviews

4.9 Rating 263 Reviews
I wish I had of known about this hairbrush years ago. I've wasted so much money on inferior brushes, and wasted so much time begging and arguing with my daughter about brushing her hair. She doesn't say a peep about getting her brushed, and even willingly let's get dad brush her hair now. Thank you happy hair brush! I will never use another hair brush

Brushing my daughter’s hair was an absolute dreaded nightmare. The drama of doing it was so great, I’d sometimes just have to put it up without brushing properly only for it to be so much worse the next day of course. And on weekends I’d give myself a break, only to have an excruciating Sunday evening, spending an hour or more. My 11 y o daughter has Aspergers and has an extremely sensitive head - apparently the slightest little tug is painful, & I just have to spend sooo long doing it carefully or she just won’t let me. She absolutely cannot stand having her hair done - yet she wants long hair. I came across the Happy Hairbrush on an ADHD site - it seemed a bit to spend on a hairbrush but if it really did help as the reviews said I thought it would be worth it. I bought the Sensory brush. Well, I was cautiously optimistic when the package arrived & tried to get her interested - she just looked at it with disdain :) I started by very gently brushing my daughter’s hair while she was reading….she didn’t complain! After a while - not wanting to seem too interested - she even picked it up to have a look at it - & tried it herself on her scalp! She had to begrudgingly admit that it didn’t hurt and that it even felt quite nice. I can genuinely say this brush has made a huge difference to what used to be an extremely dramatic & time consuming task. Now, 4 weeks later my daughter will often say she can brush her hair herself, and this morning she actually did her own hair for school - probably for only the 3rd or 4th time ever. It doesn’t sound much for an 11 y o girl of course, but for us it is huge! Very happy.

I didn't realise the blue brush was different to the others and had softter bristles - i had asked my 4 year old to pick a colour and that was what she picked. She loved it so much that we've gone from daily arguments and her hiding under the dining table when we try to brush her hair, to now - she happily brushes her own hair every morning. She says it feels really nice and doesnt hurt anymore when i brush out all her tangles in the morning. This brush has been worth every cent!

I bought the sensory hair brush for my daughter, who has ADHD & sensory issues. Every morning & night would be a nightmare trying to brush her hair; screaming, tears etc. Since using the sensory hair brush, we have pain free, easy hair brushing. It’s quite amazing! Highly recommend.

At first It took a bit of time to get my daughter to even try the hair brush due to only one colour selection (would have been a bonus if had in more colours for sensory brush) but once we used it life has been so much easier. No more meltdowns to get hair brushed. I’ve tried so many hairbrushes wish I came across your company 2 years ago

I have bought every brush there is targeted to ‘sensitive heads’ and Autism. I bought the Sensory Brush for my ASD/ID daughter. She HATES having her hair brushed and it’s meltdowns, screaming and tears every time. Not any more (yes I know you read that in reviews - but believe me when I say this brush GENUINELY works!!). She’s even brushing her own hair (the best she can) now. No more screaming, no more tears. It’s given me just that bit of breathing space and I don’t dread doing her hair for school, or brushing after a shower. The best part is we don’t even need any sprays or leave in treatments (believe me, we have tried it all!) And being a mum, you know - you HAVE to try our of curiosity. My only regret buying this brush is I didn’t get two! It also works perfectly on my long, thick curls as well. Buy 2. You won’t regret it.
