“I bought this as birthday present for my grandson who is football crazy and follows our local team Newcastle. He loved looking back at great football stars who have played here and was intrigued by some of the strange adverts we had in those days (cigarettes guarenteed to soothe your sore throat!). It's lovely book and being made of pages of real newspapers there are titbits of local history to be found as well what was being said about the team. As it is copies of old newspaper pages, sometimes the printing can be a bit fuzzy but most of the time it is clear and very interesting. My grandson is very impressed, and that's what matters to me.”
