“I ordered --and paid for -- the high-end red fancy cover with gold trim and gold type on the cover and the extra special box. I did not get the fancy red cover, I got a blue cover with a box on the front that included the name and birthday. It looked like it was pasted on. The fancy box was no more than a plane box.
This was for the 80th birthday of my sister (a former newspaper editor).
I sent it directly to her, with instructions not to openn until I arrive in Vermont for her birthday.
I will never recommend your book to anyone. I, too, am a retired newspaper managing editor, and had thought I would order a similar gift to special friends. If I do, it will not be from your company.
