“I own a 2018 vstrom 650XT and it improved the night rideability by 100%. I can actually see where I’m going at night. The previous owner had replaced the standard lamps with LEDs, although they were bright BUT not focused, this replacement was such an improvement with its focus and great highbeam I would totally recommend the upgrade.”
“Mounting was easy, thanks to the clear mounting instructions. Took a little hour to install. We mounted the Hoglights on 4 V-Stroms now. The view is much better than the oem Unit. Nice 'cut-off lines' and excellent light output. Motorists are not blinded by the light. Tested several times. All happy !!”
“I just happen to buy a used V-Strom 2016 that I had intention to prepare for my next adventures (if I will ever have one this summer)! One of the first upgrade I though about set the full lighting system (along with suspensions).
The improve is really substantial: more visible and more visibility. The white light allow a much better recognition of objects, the sharp beam allow to have light where you need without blasting incoming drivers eyes. The highlight are also amazing and remind me the Yamato Starship Wave Motion Gun (From Star Blazer Anime). :) ;). I definitively do not need to add additional and ugly spotlights (I plan also to replace the engine-guards with some less intrusive and lighter simple bobbins crash protectors.
Assembling is not complicated but you need just some patience to remove the some middle frame plastics and the front cowl after that is 6 screws and plug'n'play to the originals plugs: I have downloaded the Shop manual and did it smoothly.
Finally, those CREE leds also greatly improve the aesthetic of the bike!”

Brightness and lens cut are the best.
The optical axis only needs to be in the normal position.
It is even better if there is an optical axis adjustment mechanism. The texture is very good. It was very easy to put on.

“I decided to swap out my headlight on Easter Friday to give me plenty of time over the weekend. During the install, I ran into a few issues with identifying the correct wiring. Expecting to have my Vstrom in pieces for the weekend, I emailed Nathan at Hoglights to ask for assistance. I thought I would receive a reply when business reopened after the Easter long weekend. About an hour after sending the email, Nathan called on my mobile to discuss the issues and recommended some changes to the configuration. These changes resolved the issue and the bike is now reassembled and back on the road. I can't say enough about Nathan's service and responsiveness.
The Hoglight replacement headlight for the Vstrom is fantantic. Low and high beams are so bright and when the bike is stopped the black infill of the headlight matches the black of my Vstrom perfectly. The DRL looks awesome too.
I would highly recommend Hoglights to anyone contemplating replacing their headlight. Not only for the fantastic product but also for the incredible service.
