“I completed the course for work, and I learned a lot about the structures of writing and how to become a more effective writer. Our group took the class from Dr. Torkelson and she was a wonderful instructor - super knowledgeable and friendly. My only suggestion is to offer classes in-person, rather than online. For example, I found the breakout sessions to be much less helpful than if they had been in person.”

“I really appreciated this writing workshop. I learned quite a lot and am already taking what I have learned into consideration in my writing tasks. The content was incredibly useful, well organized and delivered in an upbeat and effective manner. The instructor made sure to tailor the content to our context of scientific writing, which was very appreciated, and it was presented in a friendly manner that is supportive of various adult learning styles.
