“I thoroughly enjoyed the 5 week course I took with Hurley Write via my employer. The covered concepts were relevant to our organization (and general enough to apply across teams), and provided a strong foundation for improving writing within the workplace. MJ was a great instructor, exhibiting energy and knowledge throughout the course. The classes were well-balanced between learning material and then applying what we learned during group breakout sessions. I also appreciated how MJ went about the interactive aspect while with the larger group. I am fairly quiet and learn best by taking notes and participating more silently, but I never felt uncomfortable with the interactive aspect like I have with some other courses. MJ posed questions with enough of a pause that everyone could be thinking of the answer, and recognized that not everyone wanted to be called on. This enabled me to get the most out of the course even as a more quiet participant. I am looking forward to using the strategies I learned. Thank you!”

“The course was far better than I expected it to be!! Well designed and delivered in a very engaging way. The exercises were picked up thoughtfully and provided ample opportunity to apply the concepts and assess one's understanding. The discussions with the fellow participants were very insightful and provided an opportunity to hear new perspectives and different ways of approaching a problem. The course has helped me recognize the issues with my writing and I've realized how simple tweaks and some thinking before writing can make a drastic difference to the way I write. I have already started applying a few concepts and "Order of emphasis by position" is my favorite. Thanks, MJ for the fantastic sessions!!”
