“These would be excellent if they could be tailored to a particular business type. As a Publican who has to take details for Track & Trace I did try this system, which was popular with customers. All the information I wanted was Name, Date & Time of Arrival and Departure and Telephone Number. I had to stick a page-header on every page to make this clear. I would have thought that the company would have identified this need and produced a book specifically for the Licensed Trade. Also a one-week wait for refills and very expensive, so gave up.”
“I thought that this system would be ideal for my pub as we needed a method of customer sign-in to comply with the government guidelines in respect of covid-19 and the requirement to store customer details securely, and preferably without asking them to use an app or mobile phone (many of our customers are elderly). I think identi-badge has missed a trick by not producing a slightly different version of their Line Entry Book specifically for this purpose. On receiving the book I had to modify it by printing strips of text to head each page as the only information we require is the name of the customer and their phone number, not their company name, who they are visiting and their car registration number! Also the refill-costs of maintaining this system will be quite expensive. Basically I thought this would solve a problem, but it did not really do so as currently configured. A great pity. Perhaps the company should send me a free refill pack for making my suggestion, as there are tens-of-thousands of pubs and restaurants out there just looking for a solution................”
