“We bought a Soda Stream and after several months, it wasn't doing a very good job. When visiting our daughter, who had a Drinkmate, we noticed that her machine did a much better job with only 2 pulses rather than 5. We returned our Soda Stream to Costco and bought a Drinkmate in its place. We much prefer this one and like that you can carbonate other liquids other than water.”
“I have been using the Drinkmate for a couple years. I originally started carbonating my own sodas with their main competitor's unit, but having to carbonate the water and then add the syrups, etc. was a hassle and often led to messes. I now purchase flavoring syrups from a few leading manufacturers, then custom blend my sodas. I also carbonate my own apple cider, cocktails, juices, etc. - something their competition cannot do. As a diabetic, and a self-proclaimed soda addict, I gradually reduced the syrup content and weaned myself off of the huge sugar intake, while still being able to enjoy a soda. Off-the-shelf name brand sodas are now basically undrinkable, due to the overwhelming sweetness. I'm literally hooked on Drinkmate. I have read reviews on some sites that say the Drinkmate and it's competitor are equal, or even giving a nudge to the competitor, and I have to question their motives. The Drinkmate can do everything the competition can do, plus directly carbonating basically any liquid. I fail to see why you would choose the competition.”
“I used to buy several packs of sparkling water a week. After I got this machine, I started using it multiple times a day. I use generic water flavor drops and the result is very good. I have had no trouble with this after one month.”
“I bought it because of it's ability to carbonate more than just water. It's very straightforward and easy to use. One of the extra bottles I bought was missing a rubber gasket in the cap, but customer service took care of that right away!”
“Friends and family are likely tired of hearing about how much I love my drinkmate. Years ago I'd dismissed the concept as a gimmicky gadget. It took downsizing into a tiny condo with little pantry space and hearty recommendations from others to push me to purchase one. After 2 months, I'm still starry eyed at the 30 second process that turns plain tap water into sparkly water that approximates Perrier. PLUS, you don't have to buy, carry, store, and recycle over and over and over. AND it doesn't need a plug, so it can go anywhere, and the streamlined size and shape is unobtrusive, even in my small kitchen. Finally, I no longer have the guilt of an obscene carbon foot print just for drinking water. BONUS: made in Michigan!”
