“This works just as described, I stained a gel 3 weeks ago as a test in order to check that it was what we required. Very good clear bands and to see how good it was at storing the gels, I left the gel in the stain. There has been no degradation of the gel or loss of bands. Highly recommend.”

“InstantBlue is more sensitive and faster than Coomassie blue stain. You could see clear bands after 10 minutes of incubation. Overnight incubation with InstantBlue is much more sensitive compare to Coomassie blue stain. Some washes with water improve the contrast of the bands. We routinely use for SDS-gel Page staining. I highly recommend it, as it is practical and easy to use.”

“After 15 min at room temperature I can see first bands that give an impression about the proteins. However, staining at 4°C over night shows improved results. Furthermore, some washes with water improve the contrast of the bands. The results attached are prepared in that way. For me, that handling shows the best results. Although, I have to prolong the protocol this is still much easier than before using self-made coomassie stain solution. The advantages: - No smell and toxic reagents - good contrast (approx. equal to our staining before) - in summary still much more faster and easier than before - ready to use - mass spec compatible”
