“My first use of the tent was over the Auckland Anniversary weekend when gales, rain, thunder and lightning struck. I pitched it quite low given the impending forecast (using my hiking pole). The tent held up to one incredibly gusty night with torrential rain with no problems. I was with fellow club tramping members who were impressed it held tight through the winds experienced (some others needed to tend to their tents during the night). There is enough room to fully stretch out with my hiking pack at the base of my feet. I have utilised the tent on several other camping and hiking trips; I have noticed some condensation but have been very happy with my purchase to date, especially given the tent price. At the time of purchase I also received great service from the team at Intents Outdoors.”

“This is a very good tent for the money. I had the opportunity to test a friend's one out for an overnighter before purchasing my own one. Recent trip with others who had a couple of the more expensive freestanding big named brands, heavy overnight dew meant condensation on the inner and outer fly for all our tents. The indie 1 held its own with the inner tub and mesh nice and dry. Some of the other tents have cutaway fly's which meant part of the inner was exposed and consequently wet, no thanks. With a trekking pole tent like the indie it is important to get the pitch right so you optimise the interior space, once you get that dialed in it is an easy tent to setup. 8000mm floor and 4000mm fly gives piece of mind for NZ conditions.”
