“The teachers are excellent and it's clear ITA wants to help you suceed. I took this concurrently with the main course---I don't recommend doing that. No matter how much time you have, no matter how skilled you are at making videos and speaking on-camera: Resist the temptation and take this course AFTER the main course. It will lower your stress level and you will have the main course information to draw on when creating your assignments for this supplemental course. It's worth it to wait the extra two weeks. If you don't have a lot of time and/or you are not accustomed to making videos and speaking on-camera, then you will struggle for two weeks to complete the two concurrently.”

“As a person with no previous teaching experience and somewhat limited tech savvy, I would lie if I didn't admit that I was anxious at the beginning of this course. However, the materials were very clear and comprehensive. They also offered links to very useful external resources. The instructor's assignments motivated me to learn to use tech tools that were completely new to me whether they were classroom tech tools or general tech tools. I learned a lot of online teaching methodologies and technical ways to present them successfully to students in an online classroom. Many of the techniques I learned may also translate very well into a traditional classroom. I feel confident that I will be able to teach ESL online successfully. I definitely recommend the Teaching English Online certificate course to anyone who is seriously considering teaching online.”

“My Teaching English Online instructor, Andy, provided helpful and timely feedback on all graded assignments. He clearly stated his expectations for the course and each assignment. The discussion, task, and quiz requirements each week were easy to understand and left little room for uncertainty. The reading material was also pretty straightforward. I would recommend this course for TEFL teachers who are looking to teach English online or considering doing so.”

“I have been so impressed overall with all the classes I've taken at ITEFLA from my certification classes through the Online Teaching and Business English classes. The books are wonderful with links to great videos, I'm glad I bought them so I'd have them for future reference.
