I haven’t had it long enough to assess how well the band itself will wear or whether it will discolour, but at this stage a $49 perfectly matched metal band is exactly what I wanted. I waited for ages under covid conditions to purchase a metal band at Apple store. I was so disappointed when I saw the yellow gold band against my watch- it did not look good.
