“I bought a set of these when they first came out and another set November 2024. My opinion is that they’re the best option for a stock width 4Runner at any price point. You can find less/more options but they all will have issues that these don’t. The extra caster makes a huge difference in on road drive ability and the shape of the arms gives you better tire and shock tower clearance and puts the ball joint at a better angle. So you can solve a lot of problems all at once with one part. The ball joints themselves seem to be extremely high quality and JBA sells repair parts which is a rare thing these days. Aside from the UCAs themselves I think it’s worth mentioning that JBA goes above and beyond with the customer support and communication. I’ve bought lots of car parts and a lot of times it’s basically pay someone and wait and hope that they actually exist and are going to get to your door. Anytime you buy something from JBA Marlin follows up with you on your order and to make sure you have everything you need to install the parts. My arms arrived in 4 days and took about 90 minutes to install. If I had to nitpick I’d say a black option would be cool but you learn to like the red and maybe washers for the ball joint hardware would be nice, I’m not sure if there is a technical reason why but neither of my sets have had washers on the hardware for the ball joint however I haven’t had any issues with the hardware”
“I just recently paired the JBA high castor upper control arms with a toytec 2.5 inch lift I’d installed 7 years ago. When the upper ball joint boots were torn on the stock control arms it was time for an upgrade. These control arms put the ball joint at a much better angle at normal ride height and match great with my red toytec hardware. Install was simple and fit was great. Very high quality product.”
