“The control arms are great. Looks like the ball joints will be easy to replace when that time comes. They dont seem much different from the stock even though theyre for a lift kit as far as the shape goes. My only issue is that when I opened the box and I get a DVD about Jesus. I am pagan. I bought from your business because I wanted quality parts for my truck not to have your religion pushed on me. I personally find this disrespectful and inconsiderate.”
“I’ve had nothing but problems with these JBA upper control arms. The biggest issue? They keep cracking—plain and simple. I’m not doing extreme rock crawling or anything crazy—just regular driving with a moderate lift—and somehow these arms still manage to fail.
First set cracked within a few months. Got a replacement , and guess what? That one cracked too. I torque everything to spec and don’t abuse my truck, so there’s no excuse. It’s clearly a design or materials issue.
For a product that’s supposed to support lifted trucks, this kind of structural failure is unacceptable. If your control arms are cracking under normal conditions, how can anyone trust them off-road?
Save yourself the money and frustration. These are not built to last.”
Your pictures show you added Ball Joint Spacers to the JBA upper control arms. This is noted in the warranty and the installation instructions. Using ball joint spacers voids the JBA Money Back and Replacement Warranty.
Your JBA arms failed because you modified the design and added stress to the plate with the ball joint spacers. The JBA upper control arms are not engineered for ball joint spacers.
Use the arms as they are shipped to you, and you will not have a problem. See the other reviews of the guys using the arms as they were designed to be used.
“JBA cradle drop UCA are very well built. The 90 degree ball joint is really good especially for taller lifts. The red finish adds a nice aggressive look and installation instructions were pretty straight forward. Overall from the time of purchase to the install customer service was amazing. Really feel apart of the JBA family. If I may add something, JBA seems like a great company with top quality products… it would be cool to see UCAs that are adjustable for different variations of lifts. Ex: adjustable coil overs, UCA drop brackets, stacked lifts etc. overall 10/10 definitely recommend.”
