“In the end the control arms provided like new ride and handling capabilities. Toyota on the other hand designed the upper bolt removal for once in a lifetime, meaning never remove. It did require a lot of metal bending and a pry bar but was able to install. I took to a shop to have it aligned and they were able to get to near perfect so very pleased in the end even though Toyota engineers must have had their heads up another end.”
“Great instructions and easy installation. Wish the ABS brake line aligned up better with the bracket that I reused on the new control arm. Also, Toyota Tocomas have issues with the lower control arms and alignment adjustment bolts being stuck. Had to replace both lower control arms and bolts to get the alignment done. I don't think I should have done the alignment. Seem to drive just great before alignment.
Would have been worth seeing what the tires wore like before speending the extra money on lower control arms. This toy was 2006 with all original stuff 170k miles.”
