JBA STD High Caster Upper Control Arms for Toyota Tacoma 2005-2023 (1 to 3.5 inch lift) Reviews

4.9 Rating 1,012 Reviews
Installed a 2” lift on my 2021 Tacoma TRD off-road and initially rolled around on stock UCAs. After getting tired of the unresponsive steering, and poor high speed stability I did a ton of research and decided to go with JBA. I am so happy I decided to go with JBA, the handling is night and day better and my lifted truck now handles better than it did at stock height. Prior to installing the lift the best alignment I could dial in was +0.5 degrees camber and +1.0 degrees caster. After installing the JBA UCAs I easily dialed in -0.25 degrees of camber and +4.25 of caster. I am running method 703s in 17x8.5 w/0 offset and 285/70R17 Toyos and have no rubbing issues on the UCA or the body mount (I have done a CMC). I installed the UCAs myself and it was a fairly easy installation. I did the alignment myself with a caster/camber bubble gauge and string/jackstand method for toe. Amazing value and amazing performance, go with JBA!!!

After going with a competitors brand and regretting the waste of money, I chose JBA. JBA has been solid performer for me doing all the trails we can absorb in New Mexico, Colorado and Utah. Just did Chloride Canyon and many trails in that area, Jemez, Pecos, Socorro. Follow the directions for care and feeding of them and you can not go wrong!

The upper control arms look to be of very high quality and offer some really nice features. I particularly like the bolt on upper ball joint and greasable bushings. You can tell these are meant for off road use and made to last. Installation was fairly simple just pay attention to the orientation of the different washers. There’s a set of thick washers and a set of thin washers. After installation I had my truck alignment done and the control arms operate very smoothly and with no noise. I used Ams Oil high viscosity lithium complex grease on that bushings and ball joint. I expect these arms will last much longer than the other brand I had on there before which will remain unnamed. My only concern is making sure there’s part’s available in the distant future for replacement bushings and ball joints as I believe they are proprietary(I could be mistaken).

2019 Taco TRD Off-Road with OME lift. I live in New Mexico and I spend alot of time in the mountains. I was running SPC uppers and just didn’t like the fact the balljoints wear out so fast. I did follow the directions and greased every oil change. I wouldn’t say I off-road extreme stuff as I don’t enjoy breaking stuff. With that said, I noticed an IMMEDIATE difference. My steering is tighter (even after new ball joints) and doesn’t rattle like the SPCs did.
