“I went with the stage 1 Ironman 4x4 lift (3” front coilovers + 3” rear leaf/shock combo). I chose this UCA over the Ironman UCAs due to the high praise on forums and Tacoma off-road community.
Installation on 3rd gen Tacomas will be tough regardless of the brand you go with. Especially the passenger side. It will seem impossible. I had to use a hammer and small pry bar to tap the through bolt out, and then painstakingly tap it back in (after bending the sheet metal out of the way).
I have no had an alignment done yet, but it’s clear that the down travel and caster angle is far improved over stock. The truck handles great even without the alignment this far.
I was also pleased with the instructions, documentation, tire clearance guide on the JBA website, incredible customer service, and the Gospel message included in the shipping. Many other companies would benefit from how JBA treats their customers.
Final thoughts are that the grease-able ball joint and bushings are such a nice feature. The zerk fittings were easy to reach without any tire removal, and I’m looking forward to having control over the maintenance going forward.
