“I installed these myself nearly a year ago. They seem sturdy, however I received the older version ball joint despite there being a newer version that fixes the old ball joint design flaw. I guess Marlin is trying to get rid of old stock and make an extra buck ::
These UCA ball joints develop a horrible creaking/grinding sound over bigger bumps if I don't grease them approximately every 500 miles. I ordered the newer version of ball joints for an additional $60 each (plus shipping) so I now I have to take apart my front suspension again in order to install it.
I do like the easily serviceable grease points on the ball joint and bolt bushings though.
If I had gotten the improved ball joint from the start I'd give these 5 stars no problem but take a star off for giving me the flawed design and take another star off for the inconvenience of removing and reinstalling the old ball joint.”

“Love my JBA UCAs on my 3rd Gen Tacoma. I don’t Baja race or jump so I didn’t feel the need to buy the HD ones. My truck is usually driving slow on rocky terrain through some back woods trails or camping in the woods or dunes on the weekends in the PNW, but the STD ones are very well made and very durable. Not only is my ride smooth. It allowed me to have that extra positive caster to run bigger tires without rubbing. Very satisfied.”
