“Received parts with note that the ball joint boot was not the JBA designed part but was Toyota's boot. This also requires there to be 2 washers to fill in the space that JBA's boot would otherwise fill. It seems also the provided boot will not hold as much grease and it seems quite tight on the ball. One also must wonder if any testing was done in this form? It is also my opinion that customers should be informed of this deviation while making their purchase not as a surprise when taking the parts out of the box. While Charles from Customer Service did reply to me, the answer was not adequate and he left a couple questions unanswered (it's been several weeks now). I'm not installing these with the current boots and would not recommend them in this form.”
“Love at first site!! These UCAs are built tough and with the added caster I'll be able to fit 33s with a 3 in lift on my Tacoma. Can't wait to hit the trails. Installation was a pain but that's Toyota engineering fault.”
“After install comparing it jba uca with stock uca the tire was back further with the jba uca. Did an alignment after install thinking +4 degrees was the right way to go but before alignment was +4.6. There for after alignment was pushed back now further. I then had to go back to the the alignment shop and tell them to give me max positive caster. After the second time of doing an alignment I ended up +5.9 caster. All of this was done to a brand new 2021 4runner with 2000 miles
In conclusion, if someone is trying to get uca for max caster these are the ones to get but if the your purpose is to have tires moved forward as far away from body mounts as possible i recommend buying uca without high caster built in”
