“It's a cheap plastic scoop that breaks easily and comes in a crazy color, I don't really get dimensions, it's like it's meant to break. And since you don't mention it being from recycled plastic anywhere, probably isn't, I don't get why it wouldn't be.”
Hi Johanna,
THanks for posting your reviews, we appreciate the effort taken.
The scoop is made from plastic indeed, but you can recycle it. The number on the handle will show you a 5, which means polypropylene and that is recyclable.
We had a different one for the last Black Friday promotion, a stainless steel scoop. Sadly, that was only available during this period and is not kept as an option after that. I will forward your feedback on the scoop breaking easily to the relevant department so they can take it into account for the future.
If you ever find yourself with a broken one, just get in touch with us through the Live Chat or love@jimmyjoy.com and we will gladly have one or two added for you to the order where needed.
“I don't understand why it has knobs sticking out inside at its bottom. Perhaps you should explain that in the information that you send along. You should put marks at every 1.5 dl on the jar, to match the scoop. The marks on it are almost invisible.”
Thanks for posting your review David!
The three small partitions on the bottom of the scoop are there to make sure the powder does not stick to the bottom edge and releases easier from the scoop. The Shaker and scoop show the metric and non-metric options as we offer our products (almost) all over the world. We have received the feedback on the marks on the scoops before indeed and will take it into account in the future. Luckily, after doing it twice, you will likely be able to do it by feeling and adjusting it to your preferences a bit more.
