“I honestly expected Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake to look like bags of cocaine, especially after seeing the pictures on the website. However the packaging is very professional. My only complaint is that the dosage (1 meal) isn't indicated on the shaker. 5 stars definitely. You are not going to put this on your site are you?”
“Day 1:
I make my first shake at dinner, because I got the package in the evening.
It takes 2 hours to drink it because it tastes way to sweet. Like water with sacharine, even if I mixed half of the dose. I didn't receive my scoop BTW :( seems like out of stock.
I measure one full dose by the lines on the shaker, up to 300gr, still I think it's less than it should, because a bag takes more than 3 meals" to be emptied
The day after I have a bit of blood in my mouth when a wake up. Having expent like 80€, I kept my journey going, not going to dump it at the trash.
...
I take one shake instead of the lunch in the working days, and one random in the weekend; mostly at dinner or supper.
One day I took one for supper and just an hour later or so another one for dinner. I had to wake up a few hours later all wet in cold sweat and feeling so bad. Sugar or nutrients peak I guess. That should be warned, but I guess I lacked common sense.
So, some days after I just become another artificial sweetener junkie, getting addicted to that sweet. I don't plan to have this in the long run anyways, unless the ingredients are changed.
So now I can taste the flavours. All taste horribly artificial.
Only one that gets near the real thing is banana, I could say my favourite. It tastes like a cheap chewing banana gum.
Vanilla is too strong. Chocolate is just sloppy, nothing near cocoa.
Strawberry adds some red chips to the mix, not bad taste, like cheap yoghurt.
I like to rotate the flavours or mix 'em because I don't really like any of them.
Lately I'm mixing it with hemp protein to take some flavour out.
That so sweet taste helps to that. I think that's the worst downside for me. I mentioned that before, right?
Sh!t. I liked to take mine at a regular poop schedule, same hour every day. First days were so random. I guess that's just the change in the diet. Much better after 15 days. But the poops are now never ghost style (when nothing gets dirty because it has the perfect consistency), but more like liquid, almost borderline with diarrhoea and with some shades of gray instead of brown.
Enough dirty talk.
----------------------------------
Days pass by:
Going to things I like:
-Having 1 more hour a day or so not having to cook and things related.
-I feel more energized overall, but my diet was not that good recently, so maybe I lacked some vitamins or nutrients. Side effect or not, I feel a bit dizzy.
-I workout much better, don't have that muscle pain the day after the routine, and I feel better while doing the routine. But I sweat like a river. I think I'm even growing muscle: I gained some weight 1-2kg.
To sum up. Maybe if they do a raw version: no sweet and flavour, or maybe sell just the protein I would go for the long run. Meanwhile, I just would buy while I'm not doing my own formula.
Glad for taking the bridge to the milkshake.
135g of protein each day seem too much if I had 3 milks a day, as I would have a max of 2, I'm not worried. Same for some minerals, but bet you already knew that. Other than that, almost nailed the perfect formulae.
A tip for the end, mix it some time before you drink, it tastes better some time after it has been done than just fresh. Also, I take some slices of bread or toasts with it, so it feels more like a meal.”
“I eat Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake usually for both breakfast and my evening meal, grabbing a sandwich for lunch. I find this about the right amount of food, and I don't feel the urge to snack or feel bloated.
I have tried all the flavours (including the rare mango) and can report that they all taste good, with a hint of oats owing to the base ingredients. Vanilla is not so nice, but that is personal taste, it certainly doesn't taste "off" or horrible.
Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake mixes fast in the pretty high quality (especially for the price!) wire ball shaker, and the resultant product is nicely smooth, no dry bits or lumps.”
“Everything is in the title ! I was a little bit scared when I ordered the vegan version of Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake, but actually, the taste is even better to me :-)!
GMO free and organic is the next step!”
“Descubrimos Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake gracias a las redes sociales. Un grupo de amigos se animó a probarlo y nosotros con ellos. Desde entonces estamos muy contentos. Lo usamos para sustituir algunas comidas y nos resulta muy cómodo tanto en el trabajo, como en viajes, como algo para tomar tras los entrenamientos.
Sin duda es algo que vamos a mantener durante mucho tiempo en nuestra dieta.”
“15 eur for shipping to other EU countries is actually a lot which raises the overall price of the meals. I haven't noticed anything too spectacular/out of ordinary with the food yet but it gets the job done. Everytime it saves like 40 mins of my time which would be spent preparing food.”
