“I ordered the shakes only:
I was very excited to try the drink, but there are things I want to Adress:
- the free cup that comes with the first order broke during the travel, I got probably just an unlucky package but it makes me end up without free cup and more important it makes the mixing inconvenient + when presenting yourself as sustainable it is a bit inconsistent to use easy breakable plastic, as this produces the most unnecessary waste.
- The delivery needed 7 days and was not within the time frame that was announced, which might be due to covid-19, but compared to other online shops this is quite a long time (maybe because its supposed to be sustainable jimmy joy does not want to contribute to fast shopping, but for now its a minus)
- TASTE: at first I tried the coffee flavor, which does not taste got. This not even a very subjective opinion, because it tastes like watery pastinak with a hint of coffee. My subjective opinion is that coffee and pastinak is a disgusting mix, so I do not recommend that flavor.
Secondly I tried the strawberry flavor which is almost delicious. It smells like strawberry really nicely. There is not this strong pastinak taste, maybe because the combination (strawberry & pastinak) fits better, but still I would not call it exactly delicious as it is still very watery.
-TEXTURE: in general during most of the drinking process the texture is okay. There is this 1 sort of powder inside the drink that does not fit very well as it sticks to the membranes of your mouth after every sip. Also, provably due to the added fibre, when almost finishing the drink the there is a recognizable layer on the ground that is thicker than the rest of the drink. In the strawberry flavor this layer was still consumable but with the coffee I just felt like throwing up. Drinking this layer it really becomes clear to the mouth that its beans and pastinak and seeds that do not fit to the flavor of the drink.
I like the concept. I like the design. But I give 1 star, because taste and texture of the shake are making it hardly enjoyable and just not delicious. And for guaranteeing satisfaction and sustainability to poor quality.”
