“I really love Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake. I like the flavors and even the texture is better than expected haha! The customer service is also very helpful and clear.”
“Very straightforward shopping experience, losts of info online, good product. I would love that Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake was a bit more tasty, but I solve this by myself adding juices or coffee.”
“The shipping could be better - it took 10 days for it to reach me using a local courier, even if it said it shipped after two days.
Also despite having a trackyourparcel link I did not have any information more than “shipped” and then ten days later it became “in delivery” and arrived the same day. I contacted customer service and a very friendly rep (Isabel) confirmed me that it was a courier issue.
Other than this minor quibble (which I wouldn’t mind if I were ordering from outside EU), the product is excellent, I dig the banana taste more than I expected to, and will be ordering more of it.”
“I really enjoy the product, and it has saved me a lot of money. But for some reason, my body (or mind) has just gotten really tired of eating all the time. At first, I had it replacing two meals a day. Now it replaces one meal a week at most.
I look forward to buying more of your product. I just need to wrap my head around the idea of eating something that's not solid. Maybe there's a way to compress your product into bars or something that is chewy without having to raise prices substantially.”
“As a vegan, I was searching for a vegan meal that would be cheap, nice and that I could carry to the work.
I tested Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake vegan, and it was a success !
Package came in something like 5 days (in france), it was easy to use, and the taste is pretty good ! i only find the banana has a little med taste, but I was trying all the tastes, next time I guess i won't take it again.
I'm surprised because i saw a lot of people mixing Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake with other things, but to me the natural ones are just fine !”
“I've been eyeing the well known American competitor alternatives for a while since they do not sell their products in Europe and noticed that the price point of Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake has now become quite acceptable for daily use. Since I had no prior experience I decided to order one bag of each flavor and a few shakers. It was not clear to me how to order the shakers, but after searching for Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake shakers on Google I found the order page. I received everything (except for the scoop) the next day and an additional order for extra shakers and a scoop on the same day.
Mixing the Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is simple enough, I use a table spoon to add the powder and scales for measuring the amount of powder, since the scoop is next to useless. After a week I decided to replace all my meals with Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake. At the end of the day I mix all the Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake for the next day in about 10 minutes and put it in the fridge. The shakers could be a little bit more robust though, after putting them in the dishwasher the paint is starting to come off. I love how I can have breakfast during my commute without making my car a total mess, have lunch during meetings and have dinner with me when I'm working late. Also having dinner during my commute enables me to assist my wife and kids more when they're having their regular dinner. My favorite flavor is mango, followed by banana and vanilla. I think the chocolate and strawberry are a bit nondescript and not really recognizable, but since this seems to be very personal I recommend just trying them all.
Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake also allows me to maintain a “food is fuel” mentality during the week and spend more time on regular lunch and dinner in the weekends. Up until now I have maintained the 500 ml water and 173 grams of powder, but I would like to experiment with linearly reducing the amount of Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake and water to lose some weight.
I find that it is still somewhat unusual to eat this way and it takes some time to be accepted at the workplace (I experienced the same thing when I started driving an electric car though, so it might be the workplace). It also takes some time to get used to Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake physically. The first one or two week I suffered from flatulence and watery stool, but it seems to get better now. I don’t really mind though, the efficiency boost is well worth the trouble.
Pros: orders ship relatively quickly (and not having to go to the supermarket is really nice). Bags look nice (but it's strange the mango flavor has a completely different style). Making food is cheap, easy and fast (eat for €5,- a day, takes only 10 minutes to make). Food is really flexible, you can take it with you easily, put it in the fridge and have a regular meal instead if necessary and eat during dead time (e.g. meetings / commutes).
Cons: couldn’t find the shaker order page, scoop is too large to fit in the bag and the amount of powder you pick up varies too much, table spoon is acceptable alternative. Paint on the shakers starts to come off after putting them in the dishwasher. May cause some physical discomfort first few weeks. Could be a little bit cheaper still (maybe add another price bracket for even larger orders).”
“I think it tasted ok. It was better with Milk and blueberry juice. Think Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake can tips about other alternatives than just mix with water”
