“Feeling better since I'm eating Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake. I just love it. Banana & Vegan Vanilla are my favourite flavours. Try to cook it on the microwave, easy, clean and ready in less than 5 minutes. And I'm losing weight without being hungry!”
“Suprisingly good taste on all the flavors I tried. I ordered vegan vanilla, strawberry and banana flavors and I really enjoyed them all. I didn't get that much hungry the days I only ate/drank Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake only but didnt really feel full either. Can really recommend though it saves a lot of time and also is really tasty, will definetly order again :D”
“I think that Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is a good produkt with great taste and somewhat good nutritional value, although I think that the sugar level are way too high. You should really do something about the amount of maltodextrin and the way this affects blood sugar”
“I have previously tried vanilla and banana and I hated it. This time I decided to play it safe with strawberry, which is a flavour I generally preffer and it is okay. I also ordered some chocolate. I'm generally not a big fan of chocolate, so I have to say I was presently surprised - the strenght was about the same as when I make cocoa. But my biggest surprise was mango. The flavour is great and I will definitelly order more in my next batch.
The only problem I had was with the delivery service. The company delivering in CZ, DPD is simply horrible, it took me three days and 3€ worth of phone calls to get them actually deliver it in time when I'm home. I'd appreciate more shipping choices, for example normal post which I have across the street and which would allow me to pick up my package before/after work.”
“Well. I wanted to live 6 month just on Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake and water, and it's 17 days already of waiting. I don't think I will get my package or money. It's pity.”
“I have decided to return to Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake after a brief sojourn with Huel. The price difference is too much and I much preferred the ease of use and variety of flavours with Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake. I may however continue to use their large bags.
Huel do make a good product, their branding very slick and I like the idea of removing maltodextrin, vegan (can't believe I said that but also now available from Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake) and having a wider variety ingredients. However, I am not sure removing maltodextrin is crucial for people who are healthy, not overweight and not diabetics, Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake but has a vegan version but the sustainability of vegan Huel is likely almost identical to standard Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake when compared to normal food (I also live in a country full of cows (Ireland) so can't survive without steak or milk anyway) and the multiple "natural" ingredient part is not what is important to me (I wouldn't be using Huel or Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake if it was) as I eat normal dinners every day and add in fruit and other healthy things.
I also find Huel a bit preachy and self-righteous on their forums (including the CEO attacking other companies on their forum) and they seem to me to do a lot of stealth marketing on Reddit (i.e. mysterious Huel related first submission quickly joined by Huel reps.) which I don't like. I do like what they do I just don't like how they do it. Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake seem like a bunch of nice people with a brilliant sense of humour who don't take themselves too seriously, which I like, but who also produce a great product which I'm sure they do take seriously (which may be a side-effect of being Dutch...sorry for the casual nationalistic stereotyping/casual racism).
Anyway, I've also enjoyed the video blog Lee Primeau at eat.health Lee (www.eathealthlee.com) and think Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake's involvement in this is worthy of praise. It should really be promoted on your website blog also.
The ease of mixing and better consistency in Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is probably the main thing I miss. Getting it for cheaper is an added benefit.
TLDR Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake is a better fit for me than Huel because of the reasons that matter to me (i.e. cost, choice, ease of use).”
“I've been using Jimmy Joy/Plenny shake for most midweek breakfast and lunch meals, but still eating normally in the evenings and weekends. The shakes are filling (I make them a little thicker than the suggested 500ml water) and the different tastes are fairly mild but distinctive enough to add variety. I'm not sure I could do this 100%, but I think I'll continue to do it in some way. It's good to know that it's making my diet more nutritionally balanced and it saves me money by not regularly having takeaway breakfasts and lunches while I'm at work.”
