“My son is in 7th grade and he says Mr. Wilkins makes him more interested in his work because he is patient and calmly helps him when he needs redirection. He also likes that Mr. Wilkins appeals to his interests and incorporates them in his tutoring. He likes football, so he says he will chat with him about it and also have reading material related to it. As a mom, that is why I chose to stay with him. Mr. W also took the little bit of feedback I gave him about my son's progress, and he started working on the right skills. This lets me know he knows how to center instruction. As a teacher myself, I would rather have someone else tutor my own kid, so I am grateful to be able to match him with the right person for the job.”
