“After using the bag for a month almost every day, I feel that I have quite realistic understanding of it's functionality and quality. The idea is wonderful - i love the fact that I can just throw the bag on my back and use it as a backpack when I'm walking long distances. And I love that I can use it as a shoulder bag when I'm in the city or work and don't want to compromise my style. All the compartments are perfect and easy to access and manage the "chaos" of all of carrying all you need for work, hobbies and travel. The extra padding on the bottom of the bag makes the bag's construction to seem durable.
However - After a month, I can already see fabric pilling on the front, back and on the shoulder straps. Not just a little, but visibly a lot - like long strands of fuzz sticking out. Also, the stitching has a lot of strands sticking out now, which would indicate poor finishing work. And for that I would not purchase from this company again.
Another critique I have is that the shoulder straps can't be adjusted to be short enough. The shoulder straps are further away from each other than in a regular backpack, this in addition to the fact that straps can't be adjusted enough creates a situation, where the one of the straps starts sliding off from my shoulders and I need to adjust it all the time or hold on to them while I'm walking. There's some DIY fixes for that, luckily so, but it takes a way the convince that I was looking for with this bag to backpack element. The idea in there was that while I ride my bike or walk, I wouldn't need to use my hands to hold on to any bag - but with this Lindby bag - I still need to do that.”
