All Kiwi Crimp Sleeves are gritted for superior wire gripping over typical non-gritted. This crimp sleeve is used to terminate and splice 10.5-gauge smooth wire or 14-15.5-gauge barbed wire. Terminations will require 3 of these crimp sleeves while splices will require 2 crimp sleeves. Use the 3-4 slot of a crimp tool to fully compress the entire sleeve. When crimped properly the sleeve will have a cylindrical shape. A properly crimped sleeve will match or exceed the full breaking strength of the wire. Made in the USA.
