“Pros: Solidly built, very strong (over 10 kV - I hope my tester still works), built-in shorts indicator, dual voltage seems like a great idea, great warranty, two power settings. Cons: Just one minor thing - AC adapter is "dry locations only", so if you plan to use it outside with an extension cord you'll need to provide some sort of weather protection. When I opened the box I was unpleasantly surprised to see that connectors that you need to hook it to the fence are not included. I went back to the site and realized that it's my own mistake - what you see on the picture are a battery leads, not fence connectors, like I thought. I have quite a few extra connectors, so no big deal but if you don't and you plan to use it with movable fences, you'll need to buy the connectors separately.”
“I've used this unit for almost a year, placed inside an outbuilding connected directly to outlet, to charge two 164 feet net fences. The dual voltage is good to have for net fencing and chickens. The shut off switch on the device is especially important. Not all chargers have this convenience.”
