Rod clips are a fast, effective, and affordable way to secure wire materials to fiberglass posts. 3/8” rod clips are for use with 3/8” diameter posts. Fiberglass posts are a great choice for electric fence applications because they are sturdy and self-insulated.
These long-lasting, stainless-steel clips are designed with a built-in spring clamp to hold them firmly in place. To install, simply compress the wire loop and the short wire tab towards each; this expands the spring enough to slide onto the post or adjust the height of the clip on the post. The wire loop is big enough to accommodate wire material up to 3/8” in diameter.
Rod clips also feature a long tail for permanent installation applications. To permanently install rod clips, use pliers, locking pliers, or a simple wire twisting tool to bend the long tail around the post. Any excess tail can be hooked around the wire material creating a second wire loop. It is recommended to allow pass through during this step. Doing so will allow the wire material to move freely and make tensioning more effective. You can also bend the long tail around the post and then wrap any excess around the short tail to lock it in place.
