“Poor quality casing in the wire. There are spots where the insulation is very thin. I have had grounding problems because of this. It looks like a manufacturing problem because all the gushes are the same.”
“I've used this wire for years because it is the only thing out there for the job. I've had multiple problems with the insulation not being thick enough to contain the voltage. This wire is rated for 20,000 volts, but can't hold half that on occasion. It the insulation is up against a grounded surface( like a steel post) it will eventually burn through the insulation and begins to ground out. You must be very careful in routing the wire as to avoid problems later on.”
“I have found on multiple jobs that this wire doesn't have Enoch insulation to contain 10,000 volt of a one joule energizer. Do not attach to a metal post.”
