“Can't yet rate them a 5 because first they have to stand the test of time. They appear to be sturdy, no bending even when under some load. I bought this style because they go around the post vs clipping on. The clip-on versions invariably get knocked off or break. I am hopeful the pins that hold these in place on the post and hold the wire on will stay put over time. The top of the t-post has to be in relatively good shape for these to slip on. It does not have to be perfect but I had to adjust the tops of a few new posts with vice grips. The metal bends pretty easily. I suppose if the tops have been flattened or bent up from a sledge, it might be better to go shopping for posts than to try fixing them.”
“This product did not fit my T-posts. My T-posts are imperfect at the upper ends from manufacturing and driving them into the ground. The design of this insulator depends on a nearly perfect T-post to slide onto.”
