“thru look good, but are inefficient. they do not hold any tape down. i had to wrap electric tape on the snap-on part to hold the tape from sagging. the material is cheap too...some of my screws went right thru the thin plastic. contacted customer service to share my disappointment ( not complained!!) was told by employee that company is happy with the product. would NOT recommend unless you NEED black insulators for tape ( no others on the market). since I liked the black look on the corner wood posts- I dealt with it.”

“The fence was installed by contractors who have used these products before. I chose to use the vinyl fence covers over tee posts, all along the fence that is one straight 100 ft run separating my property from a playground park. The fence is not electrified, so I cant speak to that. Three months on, fence looks great.”

“This product pretty much tops my 10 worst product list for insulators. I bought several bags of these to use on my California ranch. Almost all of them are now broken and have been replaced after only a couple of years. Other insulators on the same posts are still in service with no problems. As an alternative I especially like the plain "Wood Post Tape Insulators" that accept wide tape, wire and rope.”

“I bought these to use with Kencove's 1.57" tape. I also purchased the Safe Fence insulator that snaps closed at the top. These insulators went on nicer than the Safe Fence ones, the flange to nail/screw to is larger. I'd say the plastic is nearly equal to the Safe Fence ones, a touch lighterweight I think. They are nice for us because we have several types of fence here, HotCote, 14g soft wire, rope and tape. We are transitioning over to tape and HotCote, but these insulators work wherever we might need one, and I don't have to carry around 3 types of insulators when checking fence. We will see how they fare -30 winters.”

“These are nice, heavy insulators, not the cheap Farm Store ones. The snap top is sturdy and holds well. I'd give them 5 stars, but the flange to nail/screw to needs to be just a hair bigger. I'd still buy them again, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.”
