“We prefer these to the one with the long handle. These are as strong as plastic can be. The long handle switches look more impressive, but on close examination, the plastic upright component is terribly small and weak. We broke several of them and switched to these. These suffice for occasional on/off cycles. If I was turning a fence on and off multiple times during the day, I would look for something more durable, or make my own switch.”
“I had gone through 2 regular knife switches and decided to try this different design. With the regular knife switches, I never felt there was a way to hook the wires up to the switch without causing problems later. They seemed to work fine at first....then after several months the plastic base would break. With this type of design, I had no problem hooking the wires up and feel it will last. An added feature that I really like is that when the switch is closed the metal is protected by a plastic covering. Good design and feel this switch was well worth the money.”
