“Works great. We got over 9" of rain in about 12 hours today and flooding covered this section of my electric fence that was isolated by the flood controller and while this section was shut off, the rest of the fence stayed hot.”
“I installed this on a section of fence that had very light weed growth touching it that did not affect the performance of my charger, however, when I connect the Flood Gate Controller to this section of fence, it brought the voltage down from 5.5 kv to 3.5 kv which is too low for an effective electric fence. I thought it would only cut the voltage down if there is heavy weed growth. So I took it off and installed a switch. I think this is useful only on sections of fence that are kept absolutely free of any weed growth and when water floods and shorts out the fence it will turn it off as needed.”
