“I like the idea and was hopeful but neither works without something putting pressure on the back. Like the battery doesn’t fit into the compartment correctly without pressure. When I squeeze when they flash, let go and no flash. I should’ve returned but got busy with other things. They are still on the fence. Maybe I’ll play around with them when I have a spare moment and see if I can get them working.”

This device flashes quickly when there's an issue and has long intervals between flashes when the voltage is strong. Do you have fence tester that you could get a reading? If you create an intentional ground issue on a hot strand, does it flash? Those two things could help determine if it is working properly or not.
