4.3 Rating 13 Reviews
Read Kencove Farm Fence, Inc Reviews

Safely contains sheep, goats, large poultry, and dogs while providing superior protection from predators. The lightweight, portable allows the fence to be moved and set up repeatedly with no tools required. Creates pastures and enclosures in minutes.
- 9 horizontal lines, 40" height, 7" vertical line spacing
- Semi-rigid vertical stays provide stability and help prevent drooping between posts, which could cause shorting
- Horizontal lines are spaced closer together at the bottom and farther apart at the top to provide excellent predator control
- Long-lasting, highly conductive, 304 stainless-steel conductors ensure years of reliable service
- Braided top strand provides unparalleled strength
- 13 double-spiked step-in posts are built into the netting for easy installation
- Green, 164' length

A fence charger is required to electrify the netting. We recommend a .25-joule, low-impedance charger minimum per net. (Example: 4 nets connected together requires a 1-joule charger.)

I just got two more of these panels to add to my existing fence line. I really like how easy the system is to put up, tighten nicely, add to, and how nice it looks in place.

I just came back and ordered a second net fence. I ordered the first one a couple weeks ago. I wanted to try one out before ordering too many. The first time putting it up was a breeze, but I figured the real test would be taking it down and moving it to another location without having a tangled mess! As long as you pay attention, it is quite easy to take down and put back up. I ordered 4 extra posts to go with the 164' net. So far that has been sufficient to get me over some uneven areas. I use one of the extras to make my "gate" smaller and easier to manage. I am using this with the Kencove dual purpose energizer. A couple of the goats tested it two or three times before they decided that it was going to "bite" every time! Now they just go about their business and leave it alone. I wouldn't recommend it for horned goats as they could get stuck, but works great for disbudded animals!

I got this fence a year ago for our goats. I was replacing a woven wire fence from another manufacturer that we used for about 10 years until the wire gave out. Our old fence was made in England and I was thrilled to see that the Kencove fence was made in the U.S. I will start by saying that the woven wire is of good quality and I expect it to last a long time. The posts seem to be of good quality as well. The BIG problem with this fence is the step-ins on the posts. There is a metal spike that is connected to the pole by a plastic step (on my old fence this was all metal). The bottom rope of the netting connects to this step with a plastic clip. We move our fence every week or so during the summer to let the goats mow down brush for us. The first time we set it up, one of our goats ran across it as we were rolling it out. Her foot got caught in the netting for a couple steps and those plastic clips that connect the netting to the posts went flying. I think we lost 3 in the grass that first day. Once you lose those clips the netting will not stay securely on the ground, so we ended up putting the bottom rope under the step which works, but not as well as I would like. It didn't take many moves to lose all the clips. The other issue is the step itself. Not long after getting the fence we started hearing cracking as we stepped the posts in, even when the ground was soft. It wasn't long before the first step broke, and three more have broke since then. You can buy new steps for just over $2, but no longer than they last, I find this to be very inconvenient. I plan to put our old posts from our previous fence on the new one. We would like to expand and buy several more sections of fence, but unless the step design is improved we will be looking for a different brand.
