It is helpful in really hard ground but is very heavy to pack around fence row. If I had to drive any post over 6 foot I’d have to stand on a bucket or something. It is probably not something I’d buy again, but glad to have it just in case it’s needed.

Hi Chip & Holly, Thanks for leaving the review on these drivers! Just wanted to let you know there are handle extension kits for driving taller posts while keeping both feet safely on the ground. If that's something you get into let us know, we can get you set up for extensions. Thanks!

We decided to try a gas powered post driver and after looking at several different models, chose this one for the features as well as price. Yes- we can pound posts in "the old fashioned way" but my hands are getting a bit arthritic and husband is 77. Why not be easy on ourselves? The unit shipped and arrived within a couple days, was well-packed and the plastic case very handy. I drained the oil as recommended in the manual, and refilled with the oil included. Filled it with 89 octane gas, flipped the choke, pushed the primer bubble a few times and pulled the cord. I think it took 4 or 5 pulls but it started right up. Flipped the choke off and let it idle for 10 min. and then turned it off. Next day, we started it with "light work" and set 6 t-posts in holes that we started with a starter-spike, The Titan drove the posts right in. Yesterday we drove in a dozen more t-posts and the unit did very well, almost TOO well. You can get them too deep if you are not careful. My only "complaint" would be that the unit is a bit ungainly for me, at 5'7" to hold on top a 6' t-post to drive in by myself. I can do it, but with two people the unit is steady. We are VERY pleased with the unit and I recommend it.

The PGD2875 is a nice machine. It is slow in hard ground and sometimes I have to use a hand driver or sledge to do the harder ones. My ground is quite hard. I wanted the PGD3875, but at 50# vs 30# for this machine I did not want to lift above my head and carry the heavier one around all day at 67-yrs of age. I almost gave up getting the engine to run for the first time; finally after emptying all the fuel, pulling the plug and following instructions in manual and starting over with attempt to crank, the engine started and idled smoothly after a couple of minutes. I gave it the instructed initial break-in time and began to use. I have had two short sessions of post driving and only light use, as per the manual; the Manual says to run at IDLE to MID-THROTTLE for the first 24-hours of use (NOTE: the driver mechanism does not actuate until you reach mid-throttle; therefore, at idle the machine cannot be used to drive a post). I had to manually drive all the hard ones until I get through the break-in period, since mid-throttle does not do much post driving. Will see later how it performs when I can run it at full throttle (24-hours of break-in time is a lot of time to run the engine before you can use the machine; so don't expect to take it out of the box and begin to building fence; that is, if you follow the Instruction Manual). Still, I am very pleased with the fit and finish of the product, and the carry case packaging is very nice. So far I am very pleased with the purchase. Gilbert at Kencove and Chris at Titan are both very good to work with, always answer my questions, and cheerfully assist me with my needs. I would definitely recommend this driver for light duty needs and would buy it again based on what I know this early in use of the machine. If you plan on doing some serious fence building, then buy a different machine. Kencove used my company name on the Invoice so the request for review is in that name. I am an individual using the machine for occasional and light duty fence building on my properties. I am Jerry W. Steelman dba/CobiCo ENTERPRISES.

Was shipped as advertised. Received quickly. Easy setup. We use at a festival in lower Michigan and drive around 120 T-posts each year. This unit made light work of it. Nice case for storing and transporting too. And dealing with the folks at Kencove was easy as well.
