Use this driver to create a 1" pilot hole for T-posts and fiber rod posts. The steel spike will break through tough or rocky soils to ensure effective ground penetration and plumb installation of posts. 69" overall length. 42½" steel spike. Drives 25" into ground.

“Definitely need this for Wyoming soil. Great device and very handy. Our posts need to go 2.5 feet in the ground, the pilot only goes 2 feet. This would be the only draw back. If you have any question or doubt with your ground, I would get this item for the posts.”

“It works as advertised, and makes pounding the plastic posts a lot easier. After about a hundred posts, mine sheared, but the customer service at Kencove was so fantastic that I've already received my replacement. Kencove is my go to for my fencing and ag solutions.”

“Good (significant) weight, nice shaped grips, works excellent. Tip was deformed a bit and lost its point from slamming into a bunch of rocks, but I think this is to be expected from any pilot driver, and easily reshaped if desired.”

“I am replacing T-posts with Pasture Pro composite posts (which I also love). I had been using a T-post to make pilot "holes" for the PP posts, and was having a very difficult time. I finally ponied up and bought the pilot driver. All I can say is - BUY IT RIGHT AWAY! It makes pilot holes so simple and effective. The PP posts go in much, much easier - with significantly less work. I give the Pilot Driver a 100% recommendation. It's awesome!”
