“In my mind, this should be listed in the rotational grazing supplies. If you have fear of deer running through your electric fences, the visual and strength of the rope braid in this product really helps. It works well for horses and cattle...especially with pigtail posts. If you stock is not used to seeing an electric fence, run a temporary TRAINER parallel to an existing fence (about 8-ft off) and keep the electric on for at least 2 days...this will train your livestock to associate the shock with the rope. After that, you can begin using it. When using pigtail posts on long runs, make sure to use pigtails that are at least 7mm in diameter and keep posts spaced closer in any curves or over hilltops. Small calves will walk under forward of their cows and it can serve as a self-creep feeder by letting the calves out to get the choice grasses on their own.”
