“For light duty use (well trained sheep) and someone on a very tight budget, the plastic mini reels work fine. Obviously they are base model, so don’t expect any frills, but simplicity is often overlooked”

“Ideal for short run fences. The lock system doesn't go quite far enough into the spool and it unwinds. Made spacer to put spool closer to the locking pen.”

“We use these for temporary paddocks. Work great but can get cracked if dropped or trampled, which makes them catch as you're reeling them up. But replacements are cheap.”
