1/3" Polyrope Fence Reviews

Rope makes an electric fence that is much more visible than wire or twine. It does not require braced end posts and it is easy to hand knot. Round rope doesnftt wind-whip as much as electric ribbons, so post spacing can be wider. The higher breaking strength (700 lbs) allows it to handle much more abuse. Rope works great for making electric gates. 6 stainless steel conductors (.4mm)UV-stabilized for maximum weather resistance1/3in diameter for maximum visibility and durability656ft length700 lb breaking strength

Bought this rope 4 years ago, took it down and moved it with me. Second use as good as the first. Then I made the mistake of buying a `similar` item from a Nationally known store. Wow, was I disappointed in the quality compared this Kencove rope! Needless to say, I'm a return customer and wont make the mistake of buying crappy electric rope closer to home again!!!

We used this for all of our horse fencing. We have 12 acres fenced and used four strands of the 1/3" diameter electric rope on wood posts at 16' spacing. We cross-fenced with a slightly longer post spacing at 20'. I love this fence because it's visible and holds up well. We put the fence up in 2006 and haven't had any problems whatsoever. We have some areas that are wooded and when trees or tree limbs fall on the fence, it just pulls the rope down, we cut the tree off, and the fence springs right back into place. It's so much less work than a board fence but still looks very nice. We don't keep it hot all the time. The horses are pretty respectful of it, so it probably is cold about 80% of the time, but it's nice to be able to turn it on if they start to lean on it. My boyfriend even drives over it with our tractor on a regular basis. He doesn't always want to use the gate, or sometimes he needs to be where a gate is not, and he just pushes the fence down with the bucket and drives over it, then it pops right back up. I would highly recommend it.
