“This is a very affordable functional choice. I gave 5 stars even though it’s the economy and not the highest quality. But i expected that. I might add that buying a replacement school was even more affordable and fits together like a glove.”
“I like the size and weight of this reel for my longer runs of braid. I only put 880 to 900 feet on the spools. I don't like the heavy handle and the hand grip slips off easily. The reel has a large enough ID to take up twine fast as I care to walk so 3:1 gear not necessary. Reel should be made of ABS but it looks like polystyrene so we'll see how it holds up in the sun and rough-handling... I'd stay with the red mini-reels if they were a little bigger (850 feet of braid is about their max). Overall, I'm pleased. I may change the handle for PVC pipe to make it lighter to hang on temporary e-fences.”
“Am very happy with my purchase. I don't move my fences often, so I can't justify a high dollar, 3:1 reel. So, I chose this model. It has proved to be just as handy and effective as the more expensive reels. The only downfall is it requires more cranks to wind up the fence, so this is not what you want if you are moving fence daily.”
“Great for price. If you move fence a lot get one with gears. This is perfect for moves that weekly or monthly moves. Need to get an attachment to connect to hot wire. I have 3 like this and 2 with gears.”
