“I've been building pipe and non climb fence most of my life. We have used 2x4s bolted together, channel iron bolted together, and any combination of tractors and come-alongs. The bolts are a pain, nuts and washers get lost every time and inevitably one end slips a little resulting in an uneven pull. This stretcher bar makes light work of pulling wire and cuts down on time in a huge way and time is money.”
“We stretched our first 200 feet of 5' woven wire fence last weekend. We had four runs so we got handy with using this device. I've never stretched fence in my life so I was a newbie for sure. I watched a lot of YouTube movies (thanks to those people!) to learn how its done, and I finally decided this stretcher bar from Kencove looked like the strongest, safest, and easiest option. I could have made a stretcher out of wood, but I was under a time crunch, and I wanted something beafier than I could build for safety sake. This thing is awesome! Solid, easy to deal with, well built, and they got it to me very quickly. The wedge system is so nice. It grabs the wire uniformly and very tightly but it is very easy to take apart afterwards. Some stretchers it appeared to me had hooks that only grabbed the wire in four or five places putting more stress on the vertical wires at those locations. This grabs the wire more evenly all across the fence. And there is no need to repeatedly tighten bolts, worry about dropping nuts in the grass, etc. I would recommend this stretcher to anyone rookie or not. Worth the price for sure.”
