You can find the problem, turn off the fence without walking back a mile, fix it, turn it on, and test it. I am purchasing this because I lost our original one and can't live without it. Too often in the past we skipped the last step, walking back out and testing. This is the best thing ever.”

“I just bought this replacement Kencove Remote, the first one, that came with my charger, died after about a year (to be fair, it had seen its share of wet weather and a drop in the water tank). I find this very handy to test the charge when I'm out in the field messing with the electric fence, adding temp lines, etc.. It's got a clear accurate readout, and the direction of the fault is occasionally helpful. In the warmer weather it's very convenient to turn off the charger with the remote instead of walking back to the charger. But I have found that the remote turn off/on doesn't seem to work reliably in very low temperatures. It's pretty pricey to buy as a stand alone product, hope this one lasts longer than the first.”
“I tend a few cows learning to rotate daily by myself. I could use a four wheeler but this remote save more steps. I don't know how I could get along without it. The only two complaints I have are that sometimes I have to move along the fence to make the power button work and the charger comes back on it the power company blinks the power when I have it off. Someday I'll be between the ground wire and the hot wire climbing through when it blinks. I still think it is awesome.”
