“I almost gave it a five. Almost. My personal preference is biased against fruity ice cream. I enjoy it, but I've always wanted fruit flavors to be complement and not a hallmark. And when it comes to strawberry, it's hard to make it do that, so I was never huge on the strawberry. I like strawberries for sure, and strawberry ice is cool.
Keto Pints strawberry in particular is nice. I mean, they nailed it flavor-wise. Maybe there's some improvement to be had but I think it's way better than what Rebel Creamery is offering right now. I'd say even if you're not a strawberry fan, get this just to have some variety in what you eat. It's nice to just have that, and in my view no one has better right now.
I'm not a strawberry guy, but I like being able to have some from time to time. And if I'm honest... the fruity flavors, I'd rate as Cherry Chip is at the bottom, then black raspberry, then strawberry. With some caveat, that if I'm going to eat a chocolately ice cream, black raspberry is best as it transitions well. You'd think the cherry chip would, but I find it has too much chocolate flakes to pair well with other flavors. It's too 'much' to distinctive. In some ways that is good, but overall I think not. It'd be beter with more cherry and less chocolate. But as standalones, Strawberry is on top for sure. Brings me back to homemade strawberry jam mixed into yogurt. The chunky type of strawberry jam.
I think the only way to improve the strawberry flavor would be to make another flavor in addition to it: Strawberry Cheesecake.”
