“I ordered the KIKI Health Organic RAW Carob Powder. I already have some spices from this company and they are very good and also come in brown glass pots. This carob jar contains 285 grams of pure air dried and powdered carob. It is a dark brown very fine powder and it can be used instead of cacao powder. I have been sprinkling it on my porridge and using it for baking. It is really nice and I am happy that it is organic. I can recommend this carob powder.”
“We had never tried carob powder before but do like cocoa, we saw some videos that were promoting the benefits of carob and we thought we would like to try it. Cocoa is the only drink I add sweetener to but I have found that I haven't needed to with this, also I always have cream in my cocoa but again this was lovely and creamy without any added cream.I added 1tsp to a mug and like cocoa put a small amount of cold water to make a paste, then added hot milk, doing this means that the paste mixes better with the hot milk. It’s perfect for anyone seeking a healthier, caffeine-free alternative to chocolate. Plus, it’s packed with fibre and antioxidants, making it a great addition to my diet. “As described and as advertised. Well packaged and presented in branded labelled dark glass jar. Organic.Acceptable tamper evident seal with a basic seal under lid. We prefer a better tamper evident seal but it’s functional. Carob powder is high in fiber, calcium, and potassium and a good substitute for chocolate as low in fat and is also low sodium. Gluten free and celiac friendly. Caffeine free should you need it. High levels of antioxidants and might help lower cholesterol. Good consistency and easy to use as a chocolate replacement be it in smoothies, baking, adding to yoghurt.Good flavour! No complaints or issues other than price.”
“I've been wanting to try carob for a while as have read about the health benefits and was curious to try the taste. I also wanted a change from my usual evening drink of hot cacao and thought the lack of caffeine in the carob would be of benefit.I have to say I was not sure how this was going to taste as I am a real chocolate lover, but this was very pleasant - kind of caramelly and sweet, without the bitterness you get with cocoa or cacao powder.The powder dissolved very easily in a small amount of hot water. I then added it to a cup of milk and warmed this through. Makes a nice change from chocolate.”

We add it to our overnight oats, to make the taste more interesting but also because of the various beneficial vitamins and minerals that carob contains. Carob has a sweet taste and although it is often used as a substitute for chocolate, it does taste quite different. Carob tastes sweeter and has a toasty overtone.
