Even after I shook out the mat, vacuumed it, or even hosed it down outside, the regular mat still held onto the fine grain litter, which was frustrating. “This is the only kitty litter mat you will ever need and I would recommend it to every one. If you are reading this review get this mat! You might read some reviews that this mat was too big but those people must have the smallest cats in the world. This mat covers the opening to the litter box and the area around it so it catches almost all the litter. It is open on the ends and has an opening in the middle so you can poor the litter back into the litter box or into a trash bag. No more trying to coax the litter out of those other grocery store mats like you're trying to reset an etch a sketch. The top is rubber so its easy to clean and doesn't get dammaged by my cats walking on it.”
