It's a great mat as it exceeds the size of the litter box and when she goes cat crazy and throws litter like the adorable demon she is, it's double layer traps the stray litter but also can be 'opened' to empty that stray litter so that its not stuck forever in the mat.

At first my rescue cat was a bit wary of his new mat. He is very cautious with new things. It took a couple of weeks but now I can tell he is getting out of his litter box and stepping on the mat because there is more litter in it instead of the floor. The design of this mat makes it very easy to dump the litter out. So, I am pleased that I purchased this mat from KittyPoo.

Having this mat has helped tremendously! It’s so simple to pick up and empty into the trash and gets a majority of the litter that my kitty likes to fling and track.

Entraps litter granules between its smooth-rounded pattern porous surface design onto solid, smooth bottom layer - makes for easy emptying. Have seen a 90% reduction of litter granules on our dark hardwood floors &/or granules glinting in sunlight on our carpets (that were once entrapped between paw(s) toes.

Mat traps litter better than others and the ability to pour caught litter back in the box is really nice! We still get some tracking since our cats sometimes get the zoomies coming out of the litter box!

This mat is made for the XL litter box and it works great for catching the litter that gets tracked out of the box. It’s also easier to clean out! Definitely recommend.

I'm glad to have it. It's plenty big and tough.. but I haven't figured out why it's double sided with an opening in the middle. Hard to describe. Not a problem but I would appreciate an explanation out of curiosity. Is there a purpose fur this ?
