“If you have cats that don't squat when they pee, this is the only box I've found after 10 years to contain the pee. They are big boys and appreciate the extra space in these XL boxes. Either size contains the pee though. Never thought the day would come that I didn't have to have an old shower curtain around the litter boxes to contain the flow of pee that other boxes (even domed boxes) couldn't contain. “I like having the dome on the litter box because it helps keep my kitties' aggressive scraping from flying out the other side. I use the plastic rails to help the larger box sides stay rigid, and install the dome over them (even though the instructions say not to).”
