Diatomite Cat Litter Bag 1-3 Bags (23.99/bag) / 1 Reviews

This litter was recommended by a friend who claimed there is no dust with this litter. She was right! Sadly, that was the only thing I liked about it. I thought it was supposed to absorb urine but it was like other clay litters and i was not impressed. I cancelled my subscription.

This litter was ok for the first few days because my cats did not use it. Then they started using it to pee in. Every day when I stirred it up I got a roomful of horrible ammonia smell that lasted for a while. Each day the small got worse when I stirred it. And the smell lasted longer. After about 2 weeks the smell was all the time and I couldn’t take it anymore so I trashed it ! I would not buy this again. The fine grain silica never smells so I’ll stick with it

This litter gets EVERYWHERE. I've tried a lot of different litter over the years and this was by far the worst for tracking (too light maybe??). Also created an odd smell in my house.. not like a litter box but really not pleasant either. Have had better luck with other diatomite litters. Would not get this particular one again. Boxes are nice but litter was a bust.

The service is amazing. The diatomite litter is not my personal favorite this the low marks but o love the silica gels. I prefer those and this service is perfect!

I have a very picky cat and this is all she will use. It controls odor great and is easy to scoop.

I did not like the smell of the diatomite. ChaCha used it just fine but I did not like smelling the diatomite. No worries though, I have returned to ordering the fine silica which has no odor itself, has excellent control of the cat odors and lasts longer. Of the types of litter I have tried I like the fine silica the best.

I have used Kitty Poo Club products for the last 3 years and have been extremely pleased with the convenience of their service and the quality of their litter. My former 14-yr-old cat LOVED the fine silica litter and so did I - it was perfect for her. Four months after she died though, my husband and I adopted two young female persian cats from a rescue group. This is our first time to have two cats at once, which changed the litterbox situation completely for us. Very quickly we realized that we needed 3 boxes instead of just 2 and some real powerhouse litter to control the smell without tracking everywhere when the cats kick and fly out of their boxes. We tried the corn litter first, which was awesome at odor control, but just too lightweight for these rambunctious cats. I was looking for something with the qualities of both the fine silica & the corn litters -- the diatomite litter was the perfect choice! It controls the odor for all 3 litterboxes very well for 3-4 weeks. The cats do still track it outside of the box some, but not excessively so, and there's no dust. I love being able to quickly scoop out the solids, stir the rest, and I'm done. Cleaning out the litterboxes on a daily basis (sometimes twice a day) feels much less like a chore than when I've used other litters.
